Mobọ́lájí Ọbádàrà

Educator, mentor, and Yoruba culture advocate

Mobọ́lájí is an administrator, educator, mentor and cultural advocate. He has worked across executive support, project coordination, teaching and communications, and gives particular attention to teenagers and young adults, in the church and outside it. He researches and podcasts on Yoruba language, culture and history.

He is speaking because he has been having this conversation with young people for years, and he is walking the talk.

Why this one, and why now

Purpose is one of those words used often enough to stop meaning much. We slow down and ask what it means for yours: what you were made for, and how you would know.

We start where the Manifesto starts. Before you were born, God already had a purpose in mind for you. Jeremiah 1:5 roots identity in God's calling, and your circumstances did not set it. That changes what you are looking for and where you look.

Then there is the practical part, which is what most people mean when they ask. If you say you are searching for purpose, you are trying to work out what to do on Monday morning. We will spend real time there.

Come with your own questions. There will be room for them.
